Ammonite mollusks

   Description characteristic of the mineral.

The involute in a spiral petrified shells of marine fossil minerals Cephalopodas of shellfishes of ammonites meet in siltages, limestones, marls and clays. Covered the mother of pearl and the decorated the sculptural furrows of their shell look as works of art. In modern seas ammonites are not present. This group of fauna a long ago disappeared from the face of earth.

Ammonites are extinct giant invertebrate shellfishes widespread in the Mesozoic era (on the name of ancient Egyptian god of Amon, represented with the involute horns of ram, which are reminded by the turbinal shell of many ammonites). The shell of ammonites was convoluted in a flat spiral. In the ancient seas of Earth about 300 million years back floated thousands of types of ammonites. Siltages keep the great number of the petrified fossil tailings of shells which meet in many places of Earth. They lived from a Devonian period on cretaceous inclusive on all of earth; had an outward shell of different form, part transversal partitions on the row of chambers which was afterwards filled different minerals, for example, Simbircite and Sengilite. The diameter of shell arrived at 2 m. In time ammonites petrified and strongly changed. Sometimes the cavities of ammonites are covered by the crystals of Pyrite. Ammonites can remind ordinary stone or have a jeweller value depending on minerals, their feedings.

   Magic properties of stone.

The shell of ammonite is considered character of domestic happiness and longevity. For many people of the world there are petrifying ammonites, their fragments and wares from them are characters of sufficiency, domestic prosperity, happiness. Depends on properties of minerals which are feed a shell (Pyrite, Chalcedony, Jasper, Calcite and other). Gives a foresight and feeling of connection of times. Does not love competitors and neighbourhoods of other stone (as well as Pyrite or Ophite). Original and beautiful amulet and talisman, not having limitations on the signs of Zodiac.

Very interesting and original fossils of Carpathians the pictures of which were got from the official web site of salesman are imprints of ammonites on a rock marl long 10-15 sm, unlike on other analogical stone, presented in town Muchevo (castle "Palanok") the Carpatho-Ukraine region and resulted on the pictures of our web site. They have greyish-whitish characteristic original appearance which sharply distinguishes them from most widespread on sale of the bright and coloured Madagascan and Russian fossils of ammonites.

They are so unlike on the typical fossils of other regions of Ukraine, that I decided to select them in the separate article of site. Seems, as though they "went" out from under the chisel of ancient (greek) or ancient Roman sculptor, although actually the able hands of people only helped to expose natural original beauty of this original stone.

Poisonous and radioactive risky hazardous cargo stone and minerals

** - are poisonous stone and minerals (mandatory verification is in the chemical analysis laboratory + on toxicity)
** - are radioactive stone and minerals (mandatory verification on a regular dosimeter + prohibition on the opened sales in the case of radio-activity over 24 milliroentgens / hour + additional measures of protection of people)
All of rare stone are subject obligatory verification on a regular dosimeter on the possible level of radiation and in a chemical laboratory on absence default of poisonous and evaporating components, dangerous for a human people and environment nature
